Understanding the substantial negative
impact that poor indoor air quality and excessive interior and substructure
moisture have on the Lowcountry's residents and business owners; and
realizing a lack of engineering professionals concentrating in this
specialized area, Louis Schweers founded GLS Engineering in 2003. A
Licensed Professional Engineer with over 15 years of residential and
commercial experience, Louis has concentrated almost exclusively on HVAC,
energy, moisture and indoor air quality issues. His unique combination
of education and experience qualifies him as one of the foremost moisture
control and indoor air quality engineers in South Carolina. Recognized
as a leading authority in the field, Louis is often asked to provide expert
testimony in legal cases involving mold, moisture and indoor air quality
issues. Having worked with Air Plus for several years on numerous
successful projects, Louis partnered with Air Plus in 2007 with a goal of
providing unparalleled turnkey diagnostic, design and installations services
to the Lowcountry.

Robbie brings to Air Plus
over 25 years of
experience in the HVAC and maintenance consulting service industries.
His initial experience started in the HVAC
and refrigeration field after completion of Technical School in 1981,
during which Robbie gained significant experience in the service and
installation of commercial refrigeration, air conditioning systems and
facilities maintenance. In 1992,
he began his tenure with
Life Cycle Engineering as a Senior Engineering Technician where
he served as a Subject Matter Expert Consultant,
focusing on implementing reliability within maintenance organizations
throughout the US. In 2002
Robbie focused
on a more local level
and obtained a lead role directing the mechanical side
of a moisture remediation and improved indoor air
quality business. Since then,
he has addressed a wide variety of air
conditioning system improvements through system enhancements and quality new
system installations. Due to
his extensive technical and consulting background,
Robbie can quickly evaluate system deficiencies and provide quality
solutions for implementing efficient and optimal
HVAC systems. Numerous
clients have experienced improved indoor climates through utilizing
Robbie's talents for
their HVAC system improvements.
Born and raised in the Lowcountry,
Robbie can fully relate to
the needs for total indoor air conditioning that goes beyond
just heating and cooling - "The ambient conditions
experienced in our coastal climate challenge us to
not just heat and cool the air, but
to also provide humidity
control, ventilation and improved filtration for comfortable and

“Do The Right Thing” is not only one of Mike’s
favorite sayings, it is a philosophy that drives him both personally and
professionally. Beginning with duct design and fabrication in 1987 and
progressing into commercial and residential installations, Mike brings to
Air Plus over 20 years of experience in the HVAC industry. Mike's
sincere interest in the industry has resulted in a comprehensive
understanding of the fundamentals of proper installation and code
requirements. Completing Technical School in 1999 for Commercial
Refrigeration Technology and eventually achieving his North American
Technician of Excellence “NATE“ certification, Mike is a strong believer in
continuing education. In addition to his own achievements, Mike is an
outstanding instructor and loves to train and help others as they are coming
up through the industry, including being a proctor for several
industry-related exams such as EPA and NATE. Beyond traditional HVAC,
he has educated himself on the Principles of Building Science and Indoor Air
Quality and holds the credential of Healthy Air Specialist. Mike’s
vast knowledge and experience, and his abilities to solve problems, assure
quality and provide excellent customer service have been a welcomed addition
to the Air Plus team.
