The "dust" in our homes is actually a mixture of many different allergens. This dust settles throughout the home and becomes airborne any time it is disturbed. It can take as little as your air conditioning system coming on to flood the air with allergens. These allergens are the major cause of asthma and chronic allergies in many people.
Allergen Testing includes sampling for the most common problematic allergens including:
- Dog Dander
- Cat Dander
- Dust Mites
Samples are taken using an MCE filter cassette and high volume vacuum pump from several areas in the home – carpet, furniture, beds, etc. Samples are then analyzed by an accredited lab using the MARIA method detailing which particular allergens may be problematic in the home.
